Real Estate Counsel, Michael Workman
As Real Estate Counsel for East Point Energy, Michael is responsible for the negotiation of real estate contracts, overseeing real estate closings and managing title insurance and survey matters.
Prior to joining East Point Energy, Michael began his legal career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as an attorney specializing in oil and gas title matters in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. After working on matters relating to the oil and gas industry, Michael transitioned to the renewable energy sector working as Real Estate Counsel for Apex Clean Energy where he negotiated wind, solar and battery storage agreements across multiple states and prepared various real estate deliverables to support project financing, construction and operations. With growing up in an energy rich state in West Virginia, Michael is grateful to work in the energy industry and use his experience and skillset to help East Point Energy expand its portfolio and to execute on its current project assets.
Michael has a BS in Criminal Justice from Fairmont State University and a JD from West Virginia University.
When Michael is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, trail walking, golfing, reading and watching WVU sports.
