Jordan Shontz

As the Director of Operations, Jordan is responsible for supporting both the general operations of East Point Energy and the company’s pipeline of energy storage projects.  Jordan has a background in utility-scale, renewable energy development, asset management, and operations.   

Prior to joining East Point, Jordan worked as a project development manager at Ørsted Americas where he facilitated the development of utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects throughout the United States.  He then transitioned to asset management and operations where he oversaw the commercial and operational aspects of utility-scale projects in the ERCOT region as the regional director.  Prior to his career in clean energy, Jordan spent ten years in the United States Army as an infantry officer where he served in various leadership and operational roles.   

Jordan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville and a Master of Arts in International Business and Policy from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and the Walsh School of Foreign Service.   

When Jordan is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, and gardening.
