Gerardo Castilleja

As an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Specialist at East Point Energy, Gerardo Castilleja leads health, safety, and environmental initiatives across project sites during development and construction, providing ongoing support throughout asset operations. In this role, Gerardo collaborates closely with members of the EPC, Asset Management, and Operations departments, playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and sustainability of East Point Energy’s projects. He reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Prior to his current role, Gerardo served in multiple HSE positions for subcontractors, general contractors, and as an owner’s HSE representative for companies such as Alphabet Inc. He has managed a variety of capital projects for Google, YouTube, and other flagship subsidiaries. Gerardo is currently pursuing a B.A. in Project Management to further expand his expertise in managing complex projects and improving operational efficiency from an HSE perspective. He also holds the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

Outside of his professional life, Gerardo is passionate about health and fitness and loves spending quality time with his two dogs, Lola & Bandit. He also enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors, often visiting national and state parks to hike, camp, and paddleboard. Gerardo is also an avid sports enthusiast and frequently attends baseball, football, and UFC events.
