CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.– As part of our ongoing engagement with the City of Harlingen, Texas, East Point Energy is proud to announce a $175,000 donation for improvements to the Harlingen Soccer Complex. This donation represents our continued commitment to supporting communities that host our projects and the priorities that matter most to them.
“East Point Energy has demonstrated a strong commitment to invest in the local community, including their donation that will support upgrades to the Harlingen Soccer Complex,” says Orlando Campos, CEO of the Harlingen Economic Development Commission.
East Point Energy is nearing completion of Citrus Flatts, a 100‑megawatt (MW) / 200‑megawatt‑hour (MWh) energy storage facility located in Harlingen. East Point has worked closely with the City and the Harlingen Economic Development Council to bring this project to fruition. It will provide approximately $19 million in property tax revenue to the City of Harlingen over the lifetime of the project. As the owners and operators of the facility, East Point is looking forward to continuing to build local relationships and be good corporate citizens.
