Courtney Pegram, Community Engagement Summer Associate
As the Community Engagement Summer Associate, Courtney collaborates with departments across East Point and with the communities the organization serves to help build local support and help projects get off the ground. Courtney is entering her fourth year at the University of Virginia where she studies Environmental Thought and Practice, as well as Leadership and Public Policy in the Batten School.
At UVA, she is involved with the Sustainability Advocates to support composting initiatives on grounds. Before coming to East Point, Courtney worked as a Water Resource Intern for Albemarle County where she contributed to stormwater management compliance efforts and researched developments in state regulation. Outside of work, Courtney likes to spend her time running and trying new restaurants around Charlottesville.
