Trevor Jones

Trevor was raised in Tahoe City, California and after high school, enrolled in the Marine Technology program at Santa Barbara City College. When he graduated, he was offered a commercial diver position in Scotland. He spent nine years working offshore carrying out construction diving activities.

He then shifted to a role in industrial rope access operations on offshore oil platforms in the North Sea and Asia for seven years . During that time, he completed a correspondence university course in Mechanical Engineering. When he graduated, he took an onshore position as an engineer. Soon after he joined Shell and worked through the ranks of Engineer, Project Manager and finally a Team Leader role developing numerous subsea construction projects. 

Trevor retired after Shell, but was only able to stay retired for 10 months. He was offered an opportunity to move to Boston  and run survey vessels for an offshore wind development, which was too tempting to resist. Trevor and his wife moved to Boston and after 2 ½ years in the city, the decline in offshore wind allowed Trevor the chance to look for new opportunities and landed a position with East Point Energy as a Senior Project Manager.

Trevor and his wife have four adult children that all still live in Scotland. Trevor is keen to get back into rock climbing & hiking and starting guitar lessons again. He and his wife love live music, eating out and are looking forward to exploring all that Charlottesville has to offer.
